Family Support Center
Managed by 32 Volcanes, the Family Support Center (FSC) provides essential after-school activities, childcare, and a safe environment for 36 children in Llanos del Pinal. By offering a hot, balanced lunch and snacks every weekday and providing ongoing educational, health, and social support, the FSC ensures these children not only thrive academically but also grow up with necessary resources and care.

While most children live with at least one parent, some are being raised by grandparents or other relatives, and many families face challenges such as domestic violence and alcoholism. Local staff hold monthly meetings with mothers and other caregivers to provide support and address educational, public health, and social issues.
The FSC offers a vital lifeline for families including educational support, nutritious meals and snacks, well-child checkups and free access to the 32 Volcanes Clinic, and environmental education and activities like the FSC vegetable garden. Additionally, children receive scholarships to attend the local public school, further investing in their future.
Your support directly sustains these life-changing services and helps foster a healthier, more educated generation in Llanos del Pinal.
Every afternoon before starting their homework, the children come together in a circle for Buenas Tardes or good afternoon. This is a time for the children to exhale, using rhythm and physical movement to stimulate the brain and prepare for an afternoon of learning. Often including greetings in multiple languages, tongue twisters, and songs and movement, the children love coming together for Buenas Tardes.
